Ever since it was released, we’ve been huge fans of the Simms Windstopper Softshell Jacket.
It’s comfortable, warm, provides some protection against anything other than hard rain, and is also a great looking jacket to wear around town.
But we love hoods! There’s nothing better than a hood to add a little warmth, protect against errant casts, and to add a little extra discouragement to those little flying friends that like to hang out near moving water. Besides, fishing with a hood up makes us feel just a bit more like Ed Ward.
We’ve been bugging our friends at Simms for years to do a softshell hoody, and now it’s here! The Windstopper Softshell Hoody is our new favorite jacket, on-river and off.
