Big Schools of Bonefish

in Andros South

There are some big schools of bonefish on South Andros Island. When we say big, we mean it.

Every one of those dark spots? That’s a bonefish.
Sometimes they all like to fin and tail.

The technical term for how these bones are behaving is “happy”.
Sometimes they swim around in circles.

Just chuck it somewhere near the edge, pause, strip strip…set!
Big schools are fantastic if you haven’t done a bunch of bonefishing, or if you just want to catch a lot of fish. Fishing to big schools isn’t very technical but can be a lot of fun.

Don’t say your guide didn’t put you on fish today.

On the other hand, South Andros has some big bonefish, but that’s a topic for another post
