Southern Culture on the Fly

Good stuff out of the South. Photo: Southern Culture on the Fly

You should check out a new online fly fishing magazine called Southern Culture on the Fly.  They just put out their second edition.  We like their stuff.

It may seem like everybody and their Aunt Lou has an online fly fishing magazine these days.  Why should you check out Southern Culture on the Fly?

Here’s why.

  • They’re pretty funny and don’t take themselves too seriously.
  • Our friends J.E.B. Hall, Louis Cahill, Joel Dickey and Kent Klewein are among the crew of contributors.  You can take that as a disclaimer, too, if you like.
  • They include everything from fly tying instructions to videos to gear reviews to haiku.
  • Their tips are really meaty – no recycled drivel!  We learn stuff from them.
  • Whenever we read SCotF, we wind up with a silly grin on our faces.
