The following are Stuart Foxall’s weapons for the Kanektok River this week. Stuart is a good friend of Deneki and a veteran on the Kanektok. He never wonders to himself, “which color will work today?” He already has his confidence patterns ready to go! And when fishing for an anadromous fish that is appropriately refereed to as “the King”, having some confidence in your set up can go along way in getting the fish to eat. Stuart has confidence for good reason, simply put, this fly and color combination crushes fish. I am guessing next week we will have a photo of Stuart with a big boy and you will already know what fly it ate!
