We wish you a wonderful holiday season and all the best in 2009.
We’re thrilled to announce the arrival of Rick, Vilma and Elias Sisler at Andros South. Rick is taking over as Operations Manager at the lodge and will work with our Bahamian team to deliver a fantastic experience to our guests on South Andros.
Rick is a long-time member of the Deneki Outdoors team, having started as a guide at Alaska West, ultimately acting as Operations Manager there during the summer and focusing on helping our Deneki guests with bookings during the winter. Vilma is also a member of our team at Alaska West, and Elias even has a summer at camp under his belt! Not to worry – Rick will be back in his role at Alaska West.
Rick, Vilma and Elias, welcome to South Andros!
We’re big fans of The Angling Report, the best source we know of for angling news and reviews of lodges written by the guests themselves.
Our operations have been covered in The Angling Report a few times– here are articles that have run about our lodges.
- Introductory News Piece on Chile West
- Acquisition of Nakia Lodge (now BC West)
- Don Causey Report on Andros South
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Deneki Outdoors.
Our Thanksgiving gift to you is a picture of a giant rainbow trout, caught a couple of years back at Alaska West by our guest and friend Tom Rueping, with Ramsey ‘Rainbow Magnet’ Smith as his guide.

Nice fish, Tom.
Deneki Outdoors has announced its newest operation, Chile West, which operates in Southern Chile. We run a mobile fishing trip from Palena to Balmaceda, hitting the hot spots along the Carretera Austral – the ‘highway’ through Southern Chile.
We’re booking trips now for our 2009-2010 season – check out our Chile West web site and get in touch if you’d like to learn more!
And, in case you’re wondering, Garrett Sullivan, one of our guides, caught this Atlantic Salmon on a certain unspecified river while doing exploratory fishing for the Chile West program in early 2008.
